Testimonials:

Many of our clients are so happy with the work that we have done that they are happy to share their experiences:

Jessica Hallet, Seatoun

“...Murray and Nelson have completed two major renovations in our home; one in 2006 and one at the end of 2010. Both times they finished the job, on time, on budget and more importantly to a very high standard. Right from the start we were impressed - they were the only builders to get the quote in on time! Our first renovation was quite major and with 4 little children and in the middle of the winter we were quite worried about how things would go. The builders had to 'seal' the back of our house up each evening before they left with plywood, and 'unseal' it the next day to carry on working! However, this saved us much money; we didn't have to go to the inconvenience and expense of moving out of our home while the work was in progress. We were very grateful that they managed the job around us...”

“...From early October 2010 to February 2011 we used Murray and Nelson Construction to manage and undertake our building work.  The job involved adding an extension to our 100 year old villa and then reconfiguring much of the downstairs part of our house to give us a new kitchen, bathroom, laundry and storage area.

The project involved the coordination of a large number of tradesmen and in addition, required Murray and Nelson to work closely with our neighbour whose driveway they had to use to access the back of our property.

We are delighted with the end result.
Throughout the building process we found the team to be extremely courteous and professional. This included looking after our dog who stayed on site for much of the build, as well as accommodating the needs of a young family living onsite during the build (a temporary kitchen was set up and the site was as safe as possible). ...”

“....Our experience with the Principals of Murray and Nelson Construction Limited was, without reservation, a positive one. This is based on a number of aspects, from the straightforward day to day conduct of them and their team, through to their insight into what might work or otherwise, and, why.

At the basic level, they, and their team, were, at all times, superb to deal with, listening to and respecting our requests while fulfilling a job they were contracted to complete.

Of real value to us was their willingness to suggest alternative ways of looking at particular aspects of the plans, and, on a number of occasions, we accepted their advice. On at least one occasion that we can recall, this resulted in a saving to us.

They were very  pleasant to have around our family, interacting well with our, at that time, young children, and coped with us living here through the large part of the renovation. The relationship with the architect seemed to work well with regular liaison between them, and with us. As with any job of this scale there are bound to be minor follow up issues and on this front we found Murray and Nelson to be very responsive. The sub-contractors they utilised were also, without fail, good to deal with.

What impressed us the most was their ability to engage with us as clients in the strict professional sense, while also being able to have a sensible discussion in which the interest of both parties, appeared to be transparent.

Finally, our renovations were completed on time, within budget, and most importantly, to our complete satisfaction...”
